to have a few days together as a family prior to dropping her off at the
Teen Missions Boot Camp on Merritt Island, just south of Cape Canaveral
(the Space Coast of Florida). We got to play at Epcot for several
hours, at Animal Kingdom for a day, and we volunteered at Wycliffe USA

Hello everyone! Today is the day that my journey begins!! I have spent the past few days in Orlando Florida with my family, vacationing and relaxing just a bit before my mission starts. I've been experiencing my ''lasts.'' the last hot shower, the last time I get to use a soft squishy pillow, the last time I get to taste a perfect steak.... yeah. It's kinda sad. 7 days.... wow!! I can't believe how quickly time is flying by me. I will be handing the reigns of this website over to my parents soon, and they will take over while I'm gone. Just to remind you, I won't have any internet or phone access during the entire trip, even at boot camp. While i'm in Florida, my letters home will get through in a day or two and my parents can type them up on here. Today my church had their prayer send off for me. The service was wonderful!! We went out into the field, down by the pond, and set up a huge tent to provide a little shade in the extreme heat. It was so nice to just sing out praises with my church family while seeing all of His beautiful creations all around me. I want to say a special thanks to Pastor Ray, and Pastor Richard. Pre-Trip
If for no other reason, I can now tell that my trip is approaching by my sore arms. Indeed, today I had to submit myself to four needles and was vaccinated against deadly diseases. Which is of course, a good thing... but still very painful. =(
