One Week

7 days.... wow!! I can't believe how quickly time is flying by me. I will be handing the reigns of this website over to my parents soon, and they will take over while I'm gone. Just to remind you, I won't have any internet or phone access during the entire trip, even at boot camp. While i'm in Florida, my letters home will get through in a day or two and my parents can type them up on here. However once I get into Africa, it is very likely that none of my letters will get home until I've been back for a few weeks. So if you haven't heard anything for several weeks, don't worry I'm still alive!! =) With that being said, I need to hear from all of you!!!!! please PLEASE send me letters while I am gone!!

If everything goes well, a letter to Africa will take about 3 weeks to get through, but it probably won't go as smoothly as possible so it could take a lot longer. that means... WRITE TO ME NOW!!!!!!!! haha even though I haven't left yet, go ahead and write a letter to the Africa address and I will get it when I arrive. and keep writing!! honestly my biggest fear about the entire trip is not getting eaten my a lion, or getting a deadly disease, it is not getting a single letter while I'm gone and wondering if everyone is okay. so PLEASE!! START WRITING!!!!!! =)

Today my church had their prayer send off for me. The service was wonderful!! We went out into the field, down by the pond, and set up a huge tent to provide a little shade in the extreme heat. It was so nice to just sing out praises with my church family while seeing all of His beautiful creations all around me. I want to say a special thanks to Pastor Ray, and Pastor Richard. 16 Days and counting

If for no other reason, I can now tell that my trip is approaching by my sore arms. Indeed, today I had to submit myself to four needles and was vaccinated against deadly diseases. Which is of course, a good thing... but still very painful. =(

I'm quite excited because tonight everyone on my team is meeting online at the same time so we can video chat before we see each other at boot camp. It's so awesome that we've all connected and bonded a little bit before the grueling training begins. I c...
